Former Clemson offensive lineman Eric Mac Lain joins The Dubcast to talk about his dream job for ESPN and the ACC Network. Mac Lain also shares the story of how he got to Clemson in the first place: He was on his way home from a visit to Auburn when recruiter Dan Brooks called and asked him to stop by Clemson and take a look around. It was love at first sight. 

Marcel Louis-Jacques of The Charlotte Observer joins The Dubcast to talk his cup of coffee on the Clemson beat, the vast differences between covering college football and the NFL, and a recent random run-in with Dabo Swinney in downtown Charlotte. Jock McKissic, former Clemson defensive lineman and current resident of Hollywood, joins The Dubcast to reflect on his budding career in showbusiness. McKissic has enjoyed success as both an actor and a writer. And just like Dabo Swinney says of his football program, McKissic believes the best is yet to come for him in his career. McKissic also recalls what it was like being recruited by Swinney when Swinney was a receivers coach in 2004.

Mike Farrell, longtime recruiting director for Rivals.com, joins The Dubcast to discuss how he does his job, how he handles fans who are convinced he's biased in favor of rival schools, and the importance of engaging with fans even if most of them are yelling at him.

Mike Wood, former longtime ACC basketball referee, joins The Dubcast to talk feuds with coaches, the times he anguished over calls he missed, and his thoughts on the current state of college basketball. He also offers a stern rebuttal to people who think it's time for Clemson to move on from Brad Brownell. Wood retired from officiating in 2010 after 24 years in the ACC and 35 years in college basketball overall.

Before there was SuperPrep and Tom Lemming, long before there were large numbers of reporters covering recruiting 365 days a year, Phil Kornblut found that fans of Clemson and South Carolina couldn't get enough of hearing the latest on high school football prospects. Kornblut joins The Dubcast to talk the origins of recruiting coverage, how he adapted to fierce competition for information that he once had all to himself -- and, most recently, how he handled the news that his long-running show on the South Carolina Radio Network was no more. Yanity is the sports director at WSPA-TV and has been sportscasting for more than 35 years.
